Today I have a recommendation for you! You do not want to miss it. Engage in it this weekend at some point, and GET BETTER because of it.
Here's my unusual recommendation, and my usual affirmations! :-)
I was browsing through Colossians chapter 1 and had to pause and share these thoughts with you, my pastor friends!
Sometimes I can get caught up in the things I have to DO, and I always need to redirect myself back to PEOPLE. Healthy staff teams take work, whether they are paid or volunteer staff. One is not easier than the other - just because you pay them doesn't mean your relationship with them will be automatically healthy and productive. Just because they're volunteers doesn't mean it will be easier or harder to manage the interaction.
Just like a marriage, or a healthy and fit body, staff relationships take work. Today I share with you five practices that will move you toward better staff health. Staff health contributes to church health. A healthy, productive, fun, and challenging church staff, volunteer or paid, is a privilege and pleasure to serve with! Today's coaching will help! 1/21/2023 0 Comments Weekend Edition 37 - From Leadership Network to Chemistry Staffing - A Conversation with Todd Rhoades

You get up early, you stay up late, you go to bed with unfinished work on your mind and to-do list, and it's an unusually busy and stressful week. You have a funeral or two, a message to finish, people to visit with, staff to plan with, a day trip and some meetings, a grandkid's birthday party, a board meeting, baptisms to prepare for, appointments to keep track of, lunch meetings, perhaps course work, a part time job, you want to work out, rest, spend time with your spouse, etc.
What do YOU do when you're facing a very busy, stressful, somewhat overwhelming week of life and ministry? Here are six things I do naturally, and then six more that I WISH I did naturally, and try to do intentionally. 1/17/2023 0 Comments Episode 212 - As A Leader, Do You Engage in Self Justification or define reality?
