Episode 118 - Peter's Angle On Pastoral Leadership

On Episode 117 I talked about taking a summer break and reseting yourself for the new church year. I said for me that looks like reoriented myself to the fundamentals of Fellowship with the Triune God, time spent in the Word of God, and intimacy with God through prayer.

On Episode 118 I connect what Peter talks about in 1 Peter 5 to all of this. Peter says, "Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care..." But he says more, and I unpack that in this episode.

Being a pastor is an inside job - it all happens in our hearts first. It's not like moving freight or running a machine. It is deeply personal and spiritual. That reality was top of mind to me as I recorded this episode. Enjoy!
